Who Am I?

My online name is His Kingdom Herald.

It’s our hope that these journal entries will encourage you as you seek to gain a deeper understanding of The Kingdom of God and what it means to participate in it NOW.

The funny thing about a blog is that the most recent entry is listed first and the first entry is listed last. So it’s a lot like opening up your sister’s diary and reading it from the back to the front.

By day, I manage a community food warehouse for The Salvation Army. By night, I’m the married mother of 3 VERY active kids and 2 crazy cats.

I’m a South Dakota farm girl who’s been transplanted to the “big city”. (I’m sure some of you are going to laugh when I tell you that the population of this “metropolis” is 25,000 souls; but hey - when you grow up on a 400 acre farm with 100 head of cattle - a city of 25,000 is HUGE!).

I’m not a theologian.

I am not a pastor.

I’m an adopted daughter of my Heavenly Daddy.

I have a very real and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ who is my brother and my King.

I know without a doubt that my body is a temple for the Holy Spirit and I depend on Him to guide me through my day.

As God’s adopted kid, I know that it’s no accident where I live, where I work or who I meet during the course of my day.

That means it’s no accident that you’re reading this page right now. It’s just another part of my Heavenly Daddy’s plan for you and for me today.

You can live life with that same perspective IF you’re willing to be adopted too.

You see, EACH ONE OF US IS GIVEN A CHOICE:

We can wander through this life with an independent spirit that fiercely sings “I did it my way!” or we can choose to turn our lives over to the One True Living God who created it all; and walk through life humming a different tune.

I encourage you to explore the pages, posts and links you’ll find here, and seriously consider living a surrendered life that is focused on God’s purposes instead of your own.
